London Tapas Cuisine...

Last night I went out for a catch up and dinner with a friend of mine and we headed to a tapas bar that in fact I've been to before, and I really wanted to try again. The restaurant is called "Barrica Tapas Bar", and its found at 62 Goodge Street, London W1T 4NE. Their website is www.barrica.co.uk.

It's not a massive restaurant, and its therefore recommended to book ahead. The food is all Spanish tapas and they have daily specials to try as well. The food is really tasty, they have some excellent Spanish hams, seafood, and standard tapas style dishes. The service is friendly, and good plus the prices are quite reasonable as well. Both times that I've been there I've really enjoyed the red wines that I drank, and they do have an extensive wine menu to choose from. So all in all its a good location for tapas in a relaxed atmosphere. The location is just north of Oxford street, and the closest tube station is Goodge Street.

Today in Christchurch New Zealand there was a magnitude 6.3 earthquake that hit the city during lunchtime. Just seeing all the photos today its so very sad, and the online newspapers are saying that the death toll could hit 200. The city seems to have crumbled with many large buildings destroyed, and a city in shock. Rescuers are still trying to reach those trapped underneath buildings following the quake. It seems that Australia and New Zealand are having an unforgettable summer, and not really for the right reasons. Fingers crossed for all in NZ right now.
