Egyptian Protestors using new Technology to Communicate

Hi,

This is a story which caught my attention today, and one where I really think that technology is playing a positive role for the Egyptian people to communicate their feelings and opinions to the outside world during this incredibly historical time for them.

The idea is that because all internet providers are no longer able to function during the massive protests currently taking place a new technology was created last weekend by Google and Twitter where users can call an international telephone number, leave their message, and it is then translated onto Twitter with the hashtag #egypt.

Read about it here:

Great story, and lets hope that this week we will see a resolution in Egypt.
